Bury Parish Church

 

 

Our Church House premises, which are located at the rear of the church, consist of three rooms; the Blackburne Hall, the Kay Room and the Bishop Ashton Room.  

The largest of the three rooms is the Blackburne Hall (above), which can comfortably hold up to 100 people. 

The Kay Room (above), which is slightly smaller in size can accommodate up to 50 people. 

The Bishop Ashton Room (above) can take up to 30 people. 

All three halls are equipped with chairs and tables.  The Church House has other facilities, which include toilets, disabled toilet and a kitchen (pictured left). 

We use the halls for church events and for meetings of some of the uniformed organisations for our young people. However, it has always been our policy to make the premises available to the wider community.  The halls are currently used by a number of groups and societies on a regular basis; as well as ‘one-off’ events such as wedding receptions, birthday parties, coffee mornings and fetes. 

Groups that currently use our halls include:

Belly Dancing Classes                       Tuesday evening (7.30pm - 8.30pm)

Little Voices                                      Mon. (4pm - 6pm); Wed. (3.30pm - 5.30pm)

(Drama & Singing Lessons for children aged 6 to 18 years old)

Bury Family History Society               Second Wed. each month (7.30pm - 9.30pm)

Weight Watchers                               Tues. (11.30am - 1.30pm); Wed. (9.30am - 11am)

Bury Recorded Music Society             Friday evenings (7.30pm – 9.30pm)

"Tiddlers"                                          Thursday morning (10.30am - 12.00pm)

(activities for young people and their carers)

WRVS 'Thursday Club'                       Thursday (2.00pm to 4.00pm)

We are unable to offer the halls for adult discos, but they are permitted for children aged 14 and under (further information is available, on request).
