Cressida McKay Frith (Flute) and Hector LEUNG Wai Hang (Piano)

Cressida McKay Frith is a flautist originally from Edinburgh in Scotland and is currently in her fourth year of undergraduate study at the Royal Northern College of Music. She loves playing chamber music and with her flute and harp duo, Duo Reul, and wind Quintet, Prima, has performed as part of the Chorlton Arts Festival, Didsbury Arts Festival and the Skye Music Festival. Most notable she performed Harrison Birtwistle’s wind quintet, Five Distances, in the Wigmore Hall, with the composer in attendance and won the 2016 Art of Chamber Music competition. 

Cressida is deeply committed to musical outreach and has been involved with many projects including the Live Music Now pathway scheme and Big Noise England.  She currently teaches at the Christ with All Saint’s Church music school and with Prima works for Bradford music service where she goes into the primary schools in the area giving workshops. Cressida is excited to take up a scholarship to study her Masters at the Royal College of Music in September.


Hector Leung completed his Masters degree at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2017, majoring in piano performance with his principal tutors Colin Stone and Dina Parakhina.  He has obtained distinctions for all academic and performance modules at the RNCM and has been awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music with a high distinction by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
