XX Lancashire Fusiliers & The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers

Bury Parish Church is the garrison church of the Lancashire Fusiliers and for those interested in regimental history a visit to the church is recommended as well as enjoying the dedicated Fusilier Museum, located a few hundred yards away on Moss Street.

The church has a number of colours hung on display, memorial tablets, record books and other artefacts. The church is open during Church services, which are held on Sundays at 8.00am, 10.00am and 6.30pm.

On 25th April 1915 Lancashire Fusiliers were involved in taking W Beach at Gallipoli for which the regiment won 6 VCs before breakfast. Each year a service is held in Bury Parish Church on the nearest Sunday to that date to commemorate those who took part in Gallipoli and subsequent battles.
