Well it’s that time of year again when all the retail outlets are bedecked with “Back to School” stationery, uniforms, holdalls, pencil cases and anything else that might be deemed essential to the successful launch of a new academic year.
Thank you to all members who attended the Deanery Festival at St Paul’s, Ramsbottom. It was a nice service and as usual candles were lit in memory of members who have died during the past year.
I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Mothering Sunday. Many thanks to you all for the generous donations of cakes received and served following the morning service. Also, thank you to all the members who helped in official duties on the day.

As usual our first meeting of the year is the AGM which was held on the 7th February. The Reverend Ian McVeety who chaired the meeting welcomed everyone and opened with prayers. Thank you to Ian and all who attended.
