The work to record the historic ledger stones at Bury Parish Church is continuing, with a fantastic team of volunteers helping to capture the names, inscriptions and details carved into these remarkable memorials.

Every inscription recorded adds another piece to the story of Bury’s past, creating a lasting record that will help protect this unique heritage for future generations. It’s an exciting stage of the project, as volunteers are revealing fascinating details that might otherwise be lost over time.
